If you want to discover how royals travelled on the high seas, the Royal Yacht Britannia is your place: a ship converted into a museum that preserves all the luxury, history and anecdotes of its more than 40 years of service.
Today, it is docked in the north Edinburgh suburb of Leith and has become one of the UK's top rated attractions.

- Delight yourself with the State Apartments, where Elizabeth II received heads of state and held official receptions.
- See the bedrooms of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, separated but connected by a door.
- Explore the ship's engine room, laundry and infirmary and discover the day-to-day lives of the 200-plus crew members.
- Grab a tea and scone at the Royal Deck Tearoom, the café overlooking the sea.
